If you’re using a new Windows Phone 7 device these days, you’d know it’s quite a compelling new platform, the temptation exists to start dabbling.

As a bit of a pet project, we decided to try our hand at writing an app. It made sense to start with something we know… no, we didn’t create a deployment app… instead we thought we’d start with aviation Smile

Now if you aren’t a pilot, our first app will probably be of no interest to you at all, however if you are…. take a look at this.

1st - NAIPSapp–Our First Windows Phone App

NAIPSapp allows you to perform location / area briefings through a quick and easy user interface. No longer do you have to fiddle with your phone’s tiny browser window, log into the airservices website, and fetch your briefing.

The app even remembers your most commonly requested briefings, which speeds up the process even further.

  • Head Office NOTAM
  • SIGMET
  • Validity

The app supports landscape and portrait, and results are colour coded to help you easily locate the information you require.
